OTTAWA, Canada - June 5, 2007 - Galazar Networks® Inc., announced the further expansion of its comprehensive portfolio of carrier-grade access and head-end transport solutions with the introduction of its CopperNodeL™ and PSF15™ semiconductor products. 

PSF15 supports PDH (DS1/E1, DS3/E3) over SONET/SDH for efficient extension of copper-based services over an optical infrastructure.  In addition to extending link reach and bandwidth, optical infrastructure reduces the impact of severe weather on critical communication services for carrier-grade performance.

CopperNodeL supports Ethernet (10/100/1000) over PDH (DS1/E1), rounding out a complete portfolio of devices targeted at delivering Ethernet over PDH for head-end and access network equipment.  The CopperNode family allows for the deployment of carrier-grade Ethernet service in regions where copper-based infrastructure is the most economical medium.

For mixed-medium head-end aggregation, Galazar’s EoX solutions can terminate a flexible mix of EoS and EoPDH Virtual Concatenation Groups (VCGs).  This allows dedicated EoPDH and EoS access platforms to be cost-effectively multiplexed over established TDM infrastructure toward a network head-end.  SONET/SDH/PDH-based VCGs may then be extracted with an integrated solution.

Supporting the entire portfolio is Galazar’s Manager Software Product Suite, covering a wide range of applications.   Everything from simple single-channel protocol converters to full-blown chassis-based systems may be quickly implemented with field-proven MicroManager™, DeviceManager™, ServiceManager™ and PlatformManager™ software.  This dramatically reduces new product development effort and risk, enabling rapid response to network RFQs.
